Farm Girl Café

I’ve done a vague post on Farm Girl before but after another visit, I think I can dedicate a whole post to one of London’s most popular Australian Cafes.

Farm girl is one of those places that is ALL over Instagram. They have three locations, one in Notting Hill, one in Chelsea and a third smaller location in Soho. I’ve visited the Notting Hill and Chelsea locations. Despite the wait, I have to say the original Notting Hill location knocks the Chelsea one out of the water. It doesn’t have the same vibe and isn’t the same experience. Both are great though, I think it depends what you’re looking for. The Notting Hill location being a more relaxed atmosphere and Chelsea being more of a proper restaurant.

As I’ve said it is my preferred location, I will start with my experience at the Notting Hill Farm Girl. We arrived to Portobello Road and had to queue for a good 25 minutes but it was worth the wait. We also ended up with THAT pink table. I would expand more on this day but I already have a post about it which you can read HERE.

If you’re heading to the Chelsea location think Miami Vice, Dexter and the New Rules music video because that is the vibe. The interiors are very Miami and very retro. It’s cool but definitely photographs better than it is in real life. I’m going to be honest, my experience at Farm Girl Chelsea wasn’t that great. The food was fab but the service was slow and some people near us even walked out after waiting an hour for their food (it was a misunderstanding but it really bought our experience down a notch).

Most importantly; the food. The food at Farm Girl has to be the highlight. Initially a brunch spot, Farm Girl does brunch very well. The sweet and savoury options are both fab and there is a huge range to choose from. They also offer a large selection of speciality lattés, the best I’ve had has to be the charcoal latté. The Chelsea location is also an all day restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

If you’re in London, I think Farm Girl is a fab café to visit. Over the next few months I will be posting longer reviews of a lot of my favourite cafés in London and Brighton but for now check out my post on London’s Most Instagrammed Restaurants.

That’s cool that there’s an Australian cafe there, and the food looks so good! Makes me wonder how this cafe would actually go here in Aus.
